IAM Is Unveiling New Membership Categories for All Members

Beginning with the 2023 membership year, your company will need to select one of our revised membership categories. This process will fulfill one phase of IAM’s strategic plan—to restructure membership in support of creating a world-class experience for our members. IAM is hosting a webcast on the topic on May 18.

How Will the New Categories Affect My Company?

IAM’s programs and services—the Annual Meeting & Expo, the Receivable Protection Program, Mobility Exchange, and many more—will all remain the same. The new membership categories will give you more flexibility in choosing which IAM services are right for your company. Instead of your membership cost and benefits being set by your business model, you will be able to select your level of engagement based on which benefits you value most.

Alleged Debtor List

IAM keeps a list of companies that have been alleged to have unsettled debts with other member companies. Check the Alleged Debtor List frequently, as it is updated often. Also note that the Voluntary Cancellations List has been updated as companies opt to not renew their memberships. The list of members canceled for not paying their dues is also up-to-date. We provide this information to help you make informed decisions about which companies you do business with. Be sure to reference the list of companies known to be misusing the IAM logo, and let us know if you find others.

JK Community Farm Hosts 4th Annual Plant-A-Thon

IAM employees are excited to participate in this year's Plant-a-Thon!

The JK Community Farm is seeking teams of volunteers from companies, civic groups as well as individuals of all ages and sponsors to participate in its 4th annual Plant-A-Thon, scheduled for May 20-22. With three days to choose from, individuals and teams kick off the growing season by planting nearly 20,000 seedlings that will provide 53,000 nutrient-dense meals for families in need. In addition, the event will help raise $35,000 to support the nonprofit farm’s work. Food trucks, music and vendors will be on site for a fun filled day of giving back and food education. The nonprofit farm provides chemical free, healthy produce and protein to those struggling with food insecurity in the region. The farm donates the food it grows to nonprofit partners, including Loudoun Hunger Relief, Food for Others, Arlington Food Assistance Center, and DC Central Kitchen.

Gosselin has opened a new office in Berlin that will be headed by Dennis Cuhls

From The Mover:

“We are thrilled that Dennis is joining our team as the country manager for Germany,” said says Marcel Jörg, CEO of Gosselin Moving. “As is the case with many other locations, our German approach is a mix of insourced crews and a base of qualified suppliers around the country. We have been serving our global key accounts and our military customers in Germany for many years. We are now entering a new area in Germany by actively increasing our market share in one of Europe’s largest markets for international household goods moves.”

“I see a lot of opportunities for Gosselin to increase market share in just about every customer segment,” said Dennis. “I am impressed by the level of professionalism and expertise I have encountered.”
