The Situation in Ukraine

Everyone knows by now that Ukraine is under attack and that any shipments destined to arrive in, leave from, or go near that Ukraine and likely the surrounding countries, are going to be delayed due to conflict.

IAM continues to monitor the situation in Ukraine with grave concern for the people in that region. Our hearts and minds are with the IAM members in Ukraine and all of Eastern Europe during this very difficult time.

Are you Ready for Electronic Inventories?

In case you missed it, IAM's Domestic Asset-Based Mover Group hosted a lively discussion on electronic inventories. If you missed it, be sure to watch it. It is a great introduction of some of the complexities and solutions to this problem. We’d also encourage our members to read through the Resource Page we created on this topic as a useful primer to educate you and your colleagues.

Regardless of where you stand in the process of implementing this change in how you do business, it is something that is coming. IAM is planning a series of follow-up sessions from different perspectives, including the drivers and the companies that provide software solutions. Keep watching IAM Learning for more information.

Gosselin: Business Activity Ukraine on Hold

Marcel Jörg writes:

Gosselin is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine. Our business activity there has halted as of today, February 24th. The staff of our Kyiv office, however, remains available remotely on email/phone. We are reviewing the list of shipments to/from/in Ukraine and will advise our customers and partners individually on the latest status. As the situation is very tense and in flux, we expect further delays for trucks at the Belarus/Polish border and unpredictable transportation rates. We are in regular contact with Vlad Vasylenko, our local general manager in Kyiv.

Steve Pacifico Retires from Continuum International

Steve Hitchcock writes:

It’s a moment of pleasure and sadness that I announce the retirement of an esteemed employee of Continuum International, Steve Pacifico, has been an integral part of our company for the past 22 years. He held the position of Executive Vice President and was vital in the growth and success of Continuum. His contributions will always be valued and remembered. We and all of his colleagues worldwide will miss Steve’s hard work, commitment, dedication, and an unsurpassed sense of humor.

Steve, also known as Convention Steve, is a true global ambassador. We shall always remain obliged to Steve for his contributions and the years he spent with Continuum, taking our company to new heights.

We are glad that from now on, Steve will live a relaxed life with his family and children and finally travel for pleasure instead of business.

After over 40 years in our industry, please join us in wishing Steve a much-deserved retirement.
