As the holiday season quickly approaches, we challenge all DAB agencies to establish a goal of partnering with one local non-profit organization within your local community. Charitable giving can give your business a sense of purpose beyond just making profits. Not only will ‘giving’ strengthen your connection to your community, but these selfless donations will build morale for both you and your employees.

The DAB organization is passionate about growing our network of agencies to be the best we can – and that starts from within. Establishing and embracing a sense of giving will help in all areas of your business, and personal life too. Challenge yourself and your leadership team to put “giving” at the core of your mission statement; enrich the lives of your team, your customers, and your community.

Dewitt Worldwide

Dewitt Worldwide has been partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego for the past seven years. They are an awesome partner and are engaged with just about every campaign and event. They’ve sponsored events, volunteered to support Club activities, and are true champions for our kids. Jeff Nadeau serves on their board of directors, and lead their largest fundraising event, Evening of Changing Lives, two years in a row. While Jeff is involved in all aspects of the Club, he loves to volunteer and support activities that directly support the Club kids. Every August, he joins other board members in a shopping spree to help prepare members for the upcoming school year. Board members are matched with a Club member and buy them new clothes for the school year. It is amazing to see the connections that are formed between the kids and the board members. Jeff and Dewitt also adopt families over the holidays, fulfilling all their wish lists requests. For Jeff and Dewitt, it is truly all about the kids. The attached photo is of Jeff and one of the children he supported on the Back 2 School Shopping Spree.

 

Conser Moving and Storage - Mayflower Agent in Jacksonville, Florida

Collected and donated 1,400 lbs. of non-perishable food items for Feeding Northeast Florida’s thanksgiving food drive. All local employees participated in collecting the items, along with monetary donations from their long-distance van operator fleet. Once the collection period ended, a group of crew members delivered the goods to the charity’s warehouse and collected a weight ticket of their donation!
