Chaos at German border as covid-test requirement creates long jams

The new border controls with Austria and the Czech Republic mean only doctors, nurses and carers of the elderly can commute to work between the Czech Republic and Bavaria daily. Drivers delivering goods can also pass the border but must present a negative coronavirus test no older than 48 hours. In addition, all who enter Germany via the Czech Republic must register their arrival online beforehand.
