IAM’s Dan Bradley Speaks at Three CMSA Chapter Meetings

Last week, IAM’s Director of Government & Military Relations, Dan Bradley, made his annual pilgrimage to California to discuss the Department of Defense’s Personal Property Program during three California Moving & Storage Association (CMSA) Chapter meetings. Dan was hosted by CMSA President, Steve Weitekamp, who shuttled Dan to three Chapter meetings in three days. The meetings were held by the Twin Counties Chapter in San Bernardino, the San Diego Chapter in San Diego, and the Central Valley Chapter in Lemoore. Traveling with Dan and Steve to Lemoore was CMSA Chair Jesse Chabot of Golden West Moving Systems.

There was strong participation at all three events with great questions and interaction between the attendees and speakers, and wonderful conversations had by all throughout the three nights. Besides discussions on DoD’s current household goods program and the future Global Household Goods Contract, attendees were treated to the latest moving industry updates within California by Steve Weitekamp; and the Lemoore Chapter got the opportunity to hear Jesse’s background with the moving industry and the value he finds in CMSA membership.

Dan and Steve also enjoyed office visits with IAM’s Executive Committee Chair, John Burrows of DeWitt; with IAM/DAB member Republic Moving & Storage President and MSC Chair, Bill Lovejoy and his staff; and with IAM member, original DAB Management Board member and CMSA Board member Jeanette Homan, President of Lambert Enterprises and her staff.
