First Military Move Shipments Under New Private Management Set to Begin Next Month

HomeSafe Alliance will finally begin managing the pickup, shipping and delivery of personal belongings during moves to new duty stations after it received the DoD's estimated $6.2 billion Global Household Goods Contract in November 2021. The joint venture between KBR, a science, technology, and engineering company, and Tier One Relocation describes itself as a "move management service provider."

Portugal is the best European country for retirement

In a June report, Moving to Spain, a relocation company, ranked the best European countries for retirement based on several factors and Portugal is the best country in Europe for retirement. It is one of the most affordable European countries because of its low cost of living. On average, the cost of living, excluding rent, is almost 29% lower than in the U.S., according to SmartAsset.

US existing home sales slide again, but prices up from a year earlier

U.S. existing home sales dropped to a six month-low in July as home owners who are locked into cheap mortgages refrained from selling their properties with the cost of new mortgages for another home at the highest levels in decades. That limited inventory, however, helped drive prices higher on a year-over-year basis for the first time since January.

Bongers International Movers Expelled from IAM

In accordance with Article VI, Section 4, of the IAM By-Laws, Bongers International Movers has been expelled from the International Association of Movers (IAM):
 
Bongers was expelled after it failed to resolve debts owed to other IAM Members in excess of the thresholds specified in the By-Laws. These debts are at least $10,000 USD and 120 days past due. Bongers International Movers will be unable to rejoin IAM unless these debts are resolved.

Crown Worldwide Group Appoints Jennifer Harvey as Group CEO

Harvey – who steps into the role immediately – joined Crown in 1993 from investment bank Shearson Lehman Brothers. She has held several key positions including sales management roles in the USA, Singapore and Japan, Global Marketing Director and Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. She was appointed Regional Managing Director of North America in January 2016, before joining the executive board in October 2016. Most recently, Jennifer has held the post of CEO, Americas.
