Sudan: Protests to cause delays

January 08, 2019

AGS Sudan wishes to inform its colleagues and partners that due to ongoing protests in Sudan, and especially in Khartoum, our operations are expected to slow down until Wednesday, 09 January 2019.

Protests have occurred regularly in Sudan for the past two weeks. Protests were initially directed at the rising price of bread and fuel, however, in recent days, protests have intensified and turned into anti-government protests.

Protests took place on 04 and 06 January and another demonstration is scheduled for Wednesday, 09 January 2019.

Please note that these events may slow down operations in Khartoum and disrupt communications with our branch. In order to ensure the safety of our employees and to allow them to return home safe and sound, AGS Sudan will be closed from 12:30 on Wednesday, 09 January 2019.
