Trucking’s Tight Capacity Squeezes U.S. Businesses

More companies are pointing to rising freight costs as a drag on earnings and growth, as trucking companies raise rates at a historic pace and one says finding trucks is getting ‘ugly’. “Nobody has a crystal ball, but if I had to place a bet I would say this is structural, not cyclical” change, said Lee Clair, managing partner at Transportation and Logistics Advisors LLC, a supply-chain-strategy consulting firm.
