Pirate attacks drop to 21-year low in H1 2016: IMB

The number of piracy attacks dropped to a 21-year low in the first half of 2016 according to watchdog the International Maritime Bureau (IMB). The number of piracy incidents worldwide reported to the IMB in the first half of the year was 98 compared to 134 in the same period last year. It was also the lowest number of attacks reported in the first six months of the year since 1995.
