My name is Louis Bowen, and I’m a recipient of the 2023 Alan F. Wohlstetter Scholarship. I am a student at Daytona State College and am the second youngest child in a family of eleven children. My father has worked within the moving industry for forty-three years, and it has been a “rite of passage” for all of my siblings to have spent our college summers working for him in some capacity. I am very grateful for this award, as paying for college is a tremendous challenge with a family so large. This generous scholarship will be most helpful in achieving my academic and career goals.
