In every issue of the Portal, we invite our authors to share their experiences, success stories, learning experiences, and vision with others in the moving and forwarding industry. In addition to our regular columns, feature articles for each issue are united by a central theme. This page contains the theme, guidelines, and deadlines for the upcoming issue of the magazine and will change regularly. Focus on Technology in the Moving Industry

It’s been almost seven years since the Portal has addressed the subject of technology in the moving and forwarding industry—a great deal has changed since then, and we want to hear from the people who work tirelessly to innovate technology solutions and implement them into their business practices.
 
This is an open invitation to veteran technology users, developers, and pioneers in the moving and mobility industry to talk about how technology continues to transform our business.

The deadline for submissions to this issue is April 15, 2021.

What we are looking for: The story of your company's adoption or creation of technology that makes moving easier, safer, greener, or better in any way.
 
What we are not looking for: Thinly-veiled advertisements for your company, including lists of your services and equipment. If your service is a technology product, tell us about what issues it is designed to solve and how it does so, just remember it's not a sales pitch.

Here are some topics to help you get started:

• How does your company approach integrating new technologies into your existing business practices?
• If your business is creating technology solutions for the moving industry, what motivates you to do so?
• What challenges has your company faced regarding the introduction of new technology solutions?
• How have recent technological innovations helped your company?
• What new technologies do you see coming in the near future? Will the changes they bring be dramatic or incremental?

These topics are suggestions; write about anything that touches on your experiences, best practices, and accumulated wisdom regarding technology in the moving industry.
 
High-resolution digital photos (as separate image files, not embedded in your Word document) are welcome and will be used with your story as space permits. We don’t have a specific word limit but suggest about 500-800 words. Remember that all submissions are subject to editing.

You may provide your text in an email message or as an attached Word document. Be sure to include the author's name, job title and company with your submission.
