Top Five News Stories You Might Have Missed

Have You Seen the New IAM Supplier Directory?

The new IAM Supplier Directory is now available. Built on the framework as IAM Mobility Exchange, the new supplier directory puts all suppliers at your fingertips. Just like with the larger Mobility Exchange system, IAM members are listed first, and you can choose to also display non-members. In addition, at the front page of the system, you can easily switch between all members and just suppliers. Go try it now!

Stop the Spread of Invasive Pests in Sea Containers

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) is considering whether to implement voluntary or mandatory measures to address the role of sea containers in the spread of invasive pests. All parts of the shipping industry may be impacted, as sea containers can be a vector for the spread of invasive pests and plants. IAM is committed to educating our members so that household goods shipments do not contribute to this issue.

Here's one thing all IAM Members can ensure they are doing today. Just like at our homes, flying insects are attracted to lights and can enter our house when we open the door at night. The same can happen to sea containers; insects could enter the container and lay eggs. Thank you to the TT Club for sharing this video to raise awareness on this issue.
