Welcome Brittany Brooks to the DAB Management Board

The DAB Management Board (DMB) added a new member recently. Brittany Brooks of Conser International joined when a spot came open. Brooks says, “When I was approached to join the DMB, I was honored to join industry leaders on their focus of supporting and advancing fellow agencies. I am most looking forward to connecting with agencies of all sizes on educational and growth opportunities.”

If you have employees who are under 40, they are eligible for IAM's Young Professionals Group. This is a vibrant, tight-knit group of members who are doing business together and building their professional networks. What Every Mover Should Know about Cyber Liability Insurance

Why are Cyberattacks on the Rise?

According to Cybersecurity Ventures, a company was attacked every 11 seconds in 2021. Cybercrime, which includes everything from theft or embezzlement to data hacking and destruction, is up 600% because of the pandemic.

 

Verizon Chief Information Security Officer Nasrin Rezai said in a CBS News report, "For employees accustomed to working from the office, shifting to a work-from-home model as a result of COVID-19 required them to integrate their personal lives. During the same period of transition and disruption, threat actors shifted their techniques to target employees through COVID-themed phishing and social engineering campaigns to capitalize on the stress and anxiety of the pandemic situation.”

Casey Myers, Vice President, Champion Risk & Insurance Services, is an insurance industry veteran with more than 16 years of experience. She specializes in providing insurance coverage and advice for moving and storage clients. She is well-versed in industry trends, challenges and changes facing the household goods industry and serves as the associate board member for the California Moving & Storage Association (CMSA). When she isn’t working, Casey enjoys cycling, running and spending time with her husband Diego and their dog Chance.
