Could we have done anything different to be more successful?

By Chris Lantz

As summer winds down and the dust begins to settle a little bit, this is a good time to look back at the last three months and ask ourselves: Could we have done anything different to be more successful? Could we have marketed job opportunities better? Did we leave too much money on the table when capacity was depleted? Did we protect ourselves from future claims by training our new hires before heading into this firestorm of a summer? The answer is YES. We should always think about that stuff so we can react and start preparing for the future. This was an extremely challenging summer for agents and drivers, which is why we need to go back to the drawing board.

The good news is thought we have a chance to initiate some change in the next two months at the . After looking at the attendee list and talking to a lot of industry people, I can tell that this is going to be one for the books. I can’t wait for the in-person brainstorming to be had. I know as always, I will leave this meeting with new information, ideas, and concepts that I may have been too busy to see. Not only will the brainstorm sessions be amazing but the networking and business development will be second to none! Just getting personal with those from all over the world and coming together as one is something this industry has missed. I will say this is perfect timing. After this summer a lot of changes will be made in this industry as a whole and the IAM Annual Meeting & Expo is where those changes are going to start. Why not be part of that change? What are you waiting for?

In December 2020, detectives in the LVMPD Financial Crimes Section began an investigation into a scheme being carried out by employees of several moving companies and brokerage firms throughout the United States, including Konami Moving and Storage in Las Vegas and Coastal Moving Group in West Palm Beach, Florida.
