It's Time to Renew: Maintain Your Membership in IAM

IAM's dues renewal season has started and you should have received a dues invoice from IAM's membership team. If you have not received it, so your membership does not lapse. Watch IAM president Chuck White's presentation on from the Annual Meeting to learn how IAM is serving your company.


Renewal notices were emailed to IAM members on Dec. 1. Any company that has not renewed by Jan. 1 will have an orange tick marker appear on their IAMX company profile indicting an open balance on record for IAM membership dues.

Moving Home Permitted in London

The British Association of Removers (BAR) received government confirmation that moving companies can continue their activities despite tighter restrictions introduced in London and South East England.

IAM's Holiday Hours

U.S. Congress Passes Large Scale COVID-19 Relief Legislation

Package Tied to FY21 Spending & Tax Extenders Package

After months of Congressional debate and negotiations, yesterday the House of Representatives released an FY21 government spending, COVID-19 relief and tax extenders package, totaling roughly $2.3 trillion. Less than 12 hours later, the House passed the legislation 359 to 53, and sent it over to the Senate who approved the bill by a 93-7 vote.

NJWMA First Female Executive Director

"We are pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2021, Tracy Brito Denora will become Executive Director of the New Jersey Warehousemen & Movers Association (NJWMA). This is another milestone for NJWMA because Tracy will become the first women to lead the Association as Executive Director."

Ace Relocation Names Pat Garvey General Manager of Ace Relocation, Cleveland

Ace Relocation Systems, Inc, names Pat Garvey as General Manager for the Ace Relocation Cleveland branch, recently formed Mills Van Lines /Ace Relocation Systems branch in Strongsville OH. In addition to his new responsibilities, Pat will continue to serve as General Manager of the Chicago branch.

Atlas Canada Names New President

Fred Haladay has been named by Atlas Canada, a subsidiary of Atlas World Group, Inc, as the company’s new president and COO. Fred HaladayFred has been with Atlas Canada since the early ‘90s, starting as the agency services manager and most recently serving as senior vice president and chief commercial officer. His expertise is in transportation, communication, systems, customer care and national client support.

Charles Farrugia Retires from Westheimer Transfer & Storage

After 49 years with , Charles Farrugia is retiring at the end of this December. He has thoroughly enjoyed attending the IAM conferences over the past 30+ years meeting with other movers from all around the world. He is thankful for all of the friendships he has made along the way and hopes for good fortune for all going forward!
