DAB? What's that?
The International Association of Movers is proud to announce a new member-led initiative: The United States Domestic Asset-Based Mover Task Force (DAB). The purpose of this initiative is to provide the backbone of the world’s largest moving market with a voice and an advocate for their businesses. DABs are moving companies that have assets such as a warehouse, trucks and staff and conduct either US intrastate or interstate moves. Industry Leaders Discuss Moving Boom in the US
Moving industry sees a boom during COVID-19 as Americans relocate out of major cities. Marc Rogers, CEO of the moving company UniGroup, joined Yahoo Finance's The First Trade with Alexis Christoforous and Brian Sozzi to discuss the demand his company is currently seeing as many Americans look to relocate.

Sydney Port Congestion Surcharge
Many thanks to the Australian International Movers Association, which informed us that there is currently a serious situation in relation to the Port Congestion in Sydney due to :
- Container terminal congestion
- Recent Stevedore industrial action
- Major congestion at Sydney empty container parks.
As a result, two major shipping lines (MSC and CMA – CGM/ANL) have announced in the past 24 hours a Congestion Surcharge (CGS) which will apply to all containers coming into the Port of Sydney or being shipped out of the Port of Sydney.
