Greater Opportunities with IAM's Virtual Meeting

IAM has received a number of questions about this year's online meeting and so we can all see the opportunities provided by the Swapcard system we chose.

We know this year's Annual Meeting is different, but because of a new lower price point, more attendees than ever before will be able to take part, which means that exhibitors could see more value, especially with the ability to better quantify success and lead-gathering.

IAM Trusted Moving Specialist - What is it?

This Thursday at 11 a.m. EDT, IAM Learning will host a session so members can learn about . This designation will help you stand out among the competition as a trusted expert in your field. From the website:


Learn about the launch of the IAM Trusted brand and how it recognizes individuals who demonstrate their commitment to provide professional service to their customers and trading partners through acquisition and mastery of industry knowledge, skills and globally-accepted industry guidelines/standards via IAM Learning.


This will be a session where you can participate and ask questions of the moderator, Ray daSilva, and the first two recipients of the designation: Abhilash Nair, Global CEO of ISS Relocations; and Rich Stewart, Move Consultant at JK Moving Services.

Core and Governing Elections - Nominate Someone Today

This is your reminder that you have until Friday, August 14 to nominate members to the IAM Executive Committee. Elections will be held at the meetings of the IAM Core and Governing Members during the upcoming 58th IAM Virtual Annual Meeting & Expo.

IAM Mobility Exchange

IAM Podcast Now Available

is a new innovation to reach current and prospective members by delivering critical industry news and information through a different technology. The reports go deeper than the headlines, featuring discussion and further explanation of issues affecting our industry. This week, IAM's Carl Weaver will discuss current issues in the industry and will try to get a special guest speaker as well. The podcast is not yet available on some platforms, as the process to get on all of them takes a while, but we are working through these humps in the road.

Patrick Ohara Joins GOU Group in Mexico

The GOU Group in Mexico has announced the appointment of Patrick Ohara as Group director. Patrick will be overseeing all aspects of the company, including Mudanzas GOU and ATI as well as the Logistic/Trucking divisions and the US Logistic Division in Laredo, Texas.

Arpin Group promotes Michael Hughes to Vice President, Global Business Development

Arpin Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Michael Hughes from general manager of Arpin International (China) to vice president, global business development.


In his new role, Hughes will be responsible for contributing to the expansion of Arpin’s exceptional customer experience while enhancing new client relations and corporate account development. He will be overseeing sales teams from the USA, UK and Europe, UAE, and APAC regions.
