IAM to Take 2020 Conference Completely Virtual Due to COVID-19 Public Health and Safety Concerns
The coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage many areas of the world and the United States is one of the hardest hit. California, where IAM planned to hold this year’s conference, has recently seen a significant rise in COVID-19 cases and the governor has rolled back many initiatives planned to reopen the state. Many travel prohibitions to and from the U.S. remain in place and visa restrictions have been extended. Under these conditions, IAM cannot guarantee the safety of our members, which is our primary concern when we hold the annual conference. For those reasons IAM will move its 2020 Annual Meeting to a fully virtual environment.
Very soon we will make available the details on the 2020 IAM VIRTUAL ANNUAL MEETING. IAM has partnered with a great software platform called Swapcard to bring you state-of-the-art conference services that include:
- Networking with your fellow IAM members;
- Learning directly from industry experts;
- Conducting demonstrations of your products and services through virtual exhibitor booths; and
- Nurturing relationships with other professionals in your field.
Nothing can ever replace face-to-face interactions but we have learned during the pandemic that virtual alternatives can provide incredible networking and learning opportunities from our homes or offices.
Give us an opportunity to show you the incredible opportunities that await you with this new and exciting form of conferencing.
IAM will be making the details available to you in the next week. Be on the lookout for more information.
