USTC J9 COVID-19/Stop Movement Call (19 May)

J9 held their COVID-19/Stop Movement call with the Services and industry representatives Tuesday. The session was led by Lt Col Lowery, with inputs from VADM Mewbourne, Rick Marsh, Danny Martinez and Kim Johnson.

The meeting kicked off with Lt Col Lowery stating that as of now, there is no change to the Stop Movement Order from SECDEF. As it stands, the order is still in place until 30 June. Near the end of the telecon, USTC’s Deputy Commander, VADM Mewbourne, stated he expected this week to see the SECDEF delegate Health Protection (HPCON) status to local commanders.

CSS Scores are in DPS

IAM was notified that the latest CSS scores are now uploaded in DPS. TSPs should review their scores. An advisory will be issued shortly with additional details on the appeal period, which will likely start in mid-June.

Military Families Making Summer PCS Moves Will Have to Follow These Strict Rules

Moving crews and the military families they're moving will have to wear face masks, practice social distancing and follow other coronavirus prevention guidelines during the peak season for permanent change of station moves this summer. The movers will also have to give families written verification that the crew members have been screened for COVID-19 and have the necessary gear with them to follow guidelines set by the CDC before they start loading or unloading the trucks.

SecDef Keeps Military Stop-Movement Order in Place After Review

The Defense Department has yet to figure out how permanent change-of-station moves will be conducted this summer when and if the stop-movement order, which currently runs through June 30, is lifted, Pentagon chief spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said Friday.

MARADMIN 285/30 details permanent change of station tier system

While adapting to the current Department of Defense-wide Stop Movement Order in response to COVID-19, the Marine Corps addresses the latest guidance regarding Permanent Change of Station (PCS) in MARADMIN 285/20. This guidance outlines the actions of the HQMC, Manpower Management Division and Reserve Affairs Management that will affect the permanent change of station (PCS) orders for the remainder of 2020.

Army Delays Most Winter Personnel Moves, But Plans to Grant Exceptions

The U.S. Army recently announced that fewer than half of the 4,500 officers who would have been scheduled to move into new assignments this winter will be allowed to do so in an effort to control the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
