IAM serves an increasingly diverse membership, and its members have evolved - embracing, and often creating, the technology, logistics, and special services that have come to define a "good move." Affiliate Groups are one way that IAM supports members' expanding scope of business.

IAM Young Professionals

"Leadership Through Innovation" is the slogan for the IAM Young Professionals (IAM-YP), a dynamic group of young household goods industry professionals that came together in 2000. With the goal of advancing industry knowledge and fostering the growth of future leaders in our business, IAM-YP is the voice of the next generation within the Association. IAM Logistics Network

The IAM Logistics Network (ILN) is a new affiliate group that helps members develop and market non-traditional logistics-type services. The resources managed in logistics can include physical items, such as food, materials, equipment, liquids, and staff, as well as abstract items, such as time, information, particles, and energy.

Before ILN, many IAM members were already actively engaged in a wide variety of logistical activities but had no means to cooperate and reciprocate with business as is traditionally done on the household goods side of our industry. The real benefit of ILN is working through the existing network of IAM members with whom you’ve spent years developing relationships and trust. Learn more about ILN.

International Shippers Association

The International Shippers Association (ISA) provides its members with the lowest rates (FCL and LCL) and best service for the transport of household goods, accomplished by establishing volume-induced discounts. These discounts are realized through contracts with preferred vendors.

ISA members include international shippers and forwarders of commercial, military, and government household goods; unaccompanied baggage; and general commodities. Membership is open to both IAM member companies and non-IAM members. Learn more about ISA.

Alan F. Wohlstetter Scholarship Fund

The Alan F. Wohlstetter Scholarship Fund (AFWSF) is the cornerstone of the International Association of Movers’ scholastic assistance initiative. Named for distinguished Association founder and General Counsel Emeritus Alan F. Wohlstetter, the fund benefits the employees of IAM member companies and their dependents, as well as Student Members of the Association. Learn more about the AFWSF.
