Yard (Freight) - Unit of track systems within certain area used for storing cars, loading/unloading freight and making up trains, over which movements not authorized by timetable or train order may be made, subject to prescribed signals/regulations.

Yardage - Livestock shipped to stockyards is subject to yardage charge in addition to transportation and other charges, usually assessed on basis of so much per head, varying in amount according to type of livestock.

York-Antwerp Rules of 1974 - They established the standard basis for adjusting general average and stated the rules for adjusting claims.
