IAM Standards Development
IAM supports the development of common standards for our members and the industry. Beginning in 2005, IAM began developing a standard that codifies household goods shipment information and facilitates the exchange of that data between industry stakeholders such as IAM members and their clients. This standard has been recognized by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as both an ISO Global Standard (ISO 17451-1) and an ISO Technical Specification (ISO TS 17451-2).
