The theme of the next issue of the Portal Magazine is In a Previous Life.
Many of today's IAM members never really planned to go into the moving business but fell into the job-and in love with it-by accident. Whether you were a rugby player, a banker or an optician in your previous life, we'd like to know how you came to reconsider your life's work and how your career has progressed.
The deadline for submissions is December 15th. All articles can be sent to Joyce Dexter at

The Alan F. Wohlstetter Scholarship Fund (AFWSF) will officially start accepting applications for Alan F. Wohlstetter Scholarship Program on January 1, 2018. Each year the AFWSF awards up to 10 $5,000 scholarships to students pursuing a degree in the moving, relocation, forwarding and logistics industry or related field. The scholarship is open to international and domestic applicants. Deadline to apply is May 1st. Eligibility requirements and an application  for the Alan F. Wohlstetter Scholarship can be found on the program's website.

YP Membership Renewals to be Sent Soon
IAM membership renewal notices will be sent in the next couple weeks. Included in the renewal notices will be the YP annual dues. If you do not pay the IAM membership dues invoice for your company, make sure the person who does is aware that they should pay for your membership!
We urge everyone to pay on time so your YP memberships do not lapse, which would result in loss of IAM benefits such as IAM membership status on Mobility Exchange, the Receivable Protection Program (RPP), important communications, and ability to attend the Annual Meeting. Want to pay early? We can help you do that too. Please refer to the dues realignment announced recently. Contact IAM's Membership Team.
