Typhoon slams into China after pummelling Philippines, Hong Kong

A typhoon made landfall in China's Guangdong on Sunday (Sep 16), the country's most populous province, killing at least two and causing millions to be evacuated. Typhoon Mangkhut made landfall in Haiyan after wreaking havoc in Hong Kong and Macau and killing more than 50 in the Philippines. Ports, oil refineries and industrial plants in Guangdong have been shut.
