JK Moving Services Holds Ribbon-Cutting for New Facility
IAM member company JK Moving Services held an open house on Wednesday, January 18, to celebrate the opening of its new 75,000 square foot warehouse facility in Sterling, Virginia. The event was attended by representatives from JK’s customers, suppliers and friends, as well as leaders from local business and government, AMSA, and IAM.
“This event is designed to celebrate our recent growth while also affirming our commitment to Loudoun County and the greater community,” said Chuck Kuhn, Founder, President and CEO of JK Moving Services. “While we are already one of the top employers in Loudoun County, the opening of this new facility will create more than 100 new jobs and it couldn’t come at a better time.”
Several regional nonprofit organizations that JK Moving Services supports also participated in the event. They included All Ages Read Together, The Reading Connection, A Farm Less Ordinary, Boulder Crest retreat, Mobile Hope, and A Wider circle. Some of these organizations accept and redistribute items donated by moving families, and all of them have a mission to help needy people in their communities.
